    Multi-digit multiplication and division, decimal multiplication, and rounding decimals.

    Adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators, fraction multiplication and division, and fractions as division.

    Reading and evaluating expressions with parentheses.

  • Measurement & Volume

    3 questions

    Converting units and finding the volume of rectangular prisms.

  • Geometry & the Coordinate Plane

    2 questions

    Moving points on the coordinate plane and sorting shapes into categories.

Questions 1 to 4 are quick computation. The rest get harder as they go and include word problems. Each question is aligned to a 5th grade Common Core standard.

How to use it

  1. Print the test. Remove the last page (the answer key) before your child starts.
  2. Set a 20-minute timer. Your child works alone with a pencil. No calculator.
  3. When time is up, enter the answers online, or check them against the key yourself.
  4. Look at the skill breakdown as well as the total. It shows where the misses came from.
